Even though I hate EA right now (mainly because of how they mangled The Sims Online), I am looking forward to the "life simulation" game of evolution, Spore, which is due to be released on September 7, 2008. Mary and Jack bought us the Spore Creature Creator because they know how much Maddie likes to make Miis. She's made a pink dragon and a few others so far. Keith made a Trogdor:
Does anyone remember this? My whole family used to laugh our heads off (heh) at The Frightened Family!
I've posted this before (elsewhere) but the videos keep disappearing, so I thought I'd post it again here. Hopefully this one will stay around!
I just finished watching my new DVD set, The Young Ones, that insanely funny show from the early '80s. One of the great things about that show was that they invited a band to play in every episode. Some of my favorites were Madness, The Damned, and of course, Motörhead! This clip is from the Episode called "Bambi." I think it's the most consistently funny episode. I love the scene (1:22) where Vyvyan crams the bun into his mouth and then flips off the cashier. Completely brilliant!
I saw Ministry in concert back in the early '90s. The first band to open was Sepultura... they're a Brazilian thrash metal band... and they were loud. Next was Helmet, and they were much louder than Sepultura. Ministry blew the other two bands away. They were by far the LOUDEST band I have ever experienced. It even gave me a retracted eardrum that still plagues me to this day.
Here's a video from Ministry with Nivek Ogre from Skinny Puppy on vocals:
If I'm not able to find Lost to watch over the Internet, I guess I can get a prescription for Losticil:
Season 4 of Lost starts this Thursday. Too bad we don't have cable anymore... never got it hooked up after the move and decided it was nice not to have the damned thing on all the time. Besides we have over 700 DVDs, so there's always something to watch! I need to figure out how to hook up some rabbit ears (do they even make those anymore?) to the old TV set. For now, enjoy some silliness!
